Peter Sperling
Chairman and Co-Founder
Peter V. Sperling is Chairman and co-founder of Fuze Box, Inc., formerly CallWave. Sperling is also a founder, Senior Vice President, executive committee member and board member of the Apollo Group, Inc., (NASDAQ: APOL) the parent company of the University of Phoenix, the largest private university in the U.S. Sperling is also the Chairman and a founder of Communication Services, Inc., a Phoenix, AZ-based full-service communication engineering and construction firm serving the U.S. Coast Guard, FBI, Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. commercial wireless industry. In addition, Sperling is Chairman of Ecliptic Enterprises, a Pasadena, CA-based provider of integrated space imaging and telemetry and payload deployment systems for NASA, JPL, the NRO and the commercial satellite industry, and he is also a principal in Daedalus Real Estate Advisors, a developer of commercial office and industrial property.
Mr. Sperling earned a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, at Santa Barbara.
Jeff Cavins
Chief Executive Officer
Jeff Cavins is a technology veteran with over 19 years of senior-level experience in emerging growth technology, software, Internet, and digital media companies. Prior to Fuze Box, Mr. Cavins served as President and CEO of Loudeye Corporation (NASDAQ: LOUD), a global leader in digital media distribution technology, which was subsequently acquired by Nokia. During his tenure, he expanded the company globally, developed strategic partnerships with such companies as Microsoft, Nokia, and Virgin, and grew shareholder value by over 1700 percent.
As Senior Vice President for Exodus Communications, a leading managed hosting and interactive web services company, he was responsible for almost a billion dollars in revenue, 1100 employees and strategic partnerships with such industry leaders as Google, Yahoo!, and MSN. Prior to that, Mr. Cavins served as President and CEO of CSI Digital, an advanced technology software and systems company developing visual interactive technologies for the TV and Film Industries. CSI Digital was recognized by Inc. Magazine in 2007, as the 100th fastest growing private company in America and in the same year, it won first place in the first ever Deloitte and Touche Fast-50 Program. Prior to CSI, he spent nearly a decade in the Broadcast Division of Sony Corporation.
Mr. Cavins is a member of the Board of Directors for Fuze Box. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Human BioMolecular Research Institute in San Diego and is a former Venture Advisor at Azure Capital in San Francisco.
Ritesh Bansal
Chief Technology Officer
Bansal brings a rich background in application, software services and mobile device development. With an engineering career including positions at CitiBank and Oracle, Bansal went on to lead a development team at Kivera, a location-based technology solutions company in the San Francisco Bay area. At Kivera, he was responsible for all engineering and development, where his team built real-time traffic systems, navigation and mapping services and social networking applications for mobile devices, such as "Friend Finder" for mobile. Bansal was recruited from Kivera to head the Engineering department at TalkPlus in Mountain View, CA. Bansal earned his engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, India.
Alan Lippman
Executive Vice President of Advanced Technology
Dr. Alan Lippman is recognized as one of the fathers of streaming media, streaming audio, streaming video and digital media hub technologies. Dr. Lippman helped invent streaming audio and video products for Real Networks, being one of the first five employees at RealNetworks, and was the original creator of RealAudio and RealVideo, which have been downloaded hundreds of millions of times by users across the globe. He was the first member of the development team for RealAudio, and served as chief engineer and as a key developer for all major product releases for RealVideo through 2001. Alan was the principal architect behind the real-time encoding and decoding of audio and video on the web that later became known as 'streaming media.'
In 2001, Dr. Lippman founded Trusted Media Networks, Inc (TMN), and established a set of international standards for network management from the ITU. This technology is used today by large carriers such as Sprint, Verizon and AT&T. TMN was focused on the delivery of high-bandwidth audio and video over any size network pipe. While there, Alan filed several patents around audio and video delivery. Dr. Lippman holds a BSM in Mathematics from the University of Washington, which he received at the age of 14, and graduated at age 18 with a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University.
Patrick Moran
Chief Strategy Officer
Patrick has a broad career in the online collaboration software/services space. Patrick has over 9 years direct experience in driving online collaboration customer acquisition and subscriber growth. Prior to joining Fuze Box, Patrick was Chief Marketing Officer at Mzinga, a leading Social Media and white label community provider. Prior to Mzinga, he led online marketing at Cisco WebEx, managing a team of 50+ marketing personnel across the globe. Patrick was responsible for strategy as well as brand transformation from WebEx to Cisco and was selected to lead global web marketing and product strategy for the small business and individual professional market. Prior to WebEx, Patrick served as director of strategic marketing & brand strategy at Intranets.com, a high growth provider of web-based collaboration tools. Intranets.com offered small businesses and groups a secure workplace on the web for group communication and collaboration. Before Intranets.com, Patrick, co-founded Essential.com, a leading online communications and energy marketplace.
Christine Loredo
Vice President of Product Marketing
Christine Loredo is a recognized marketing leader with over a decade of global online and mobile marketing achievements. Prior to joining Fuze, Christine served as Vice President of Marketing at Tribilis Mobile Inc., an emerging mobile publisher providing mobile web and app solutions for major brands. Prior to Trilibis, Christine was responsible for driving mobile marketing at Yahoo!, where she successfully extended Yahoo’s mobile services to its primary mobile web portal position across the globe.
Before Yahoo!, Christine spent over five years at AOL Mobile where she led the global marketing team and advanced the rapid adoption of AOL’s messaging products worldwide, including launching AIM as the first mobile IM experience in the US. Christine launched and directed AOL Mail, AOL.com, MapQuest, MovieFone and CityGuide, managing relationships with many carrier operators.
Christine holds a dual MIM/MBA degree from The Thunderbird School of Global Management and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Michael Buday
Chief Software Designer
Michael Buday comes to Fuze Box with a rich history in video, film and online technologies. For over 25 years, he's been editing, managing, consulting, and training for companies such as NBC, Harpo Productions, Sony Japan, US and UK. as well as others.
Buday is well-known throughout Hollywood as a skillful, Offline/Online editor, and technology consulting working on major prime-time series such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Chicago Hope, Judging Amy, King of Queens, MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Movie Awards - and many others. He spent several years in the U.K. working as an editor for the BBC.
Buday was educated at University of Southern California, and San Diego State, earning his degree in Film and Television Production.
